This life-size human figure is freely based on a drawing of Vesalius – a Flemish 16th century anatomist. The work is a reflection on the human condition and speculates about our (physical) future.

The bones and organs in this machine like skeleton are transformed into lighting elements, which contain energy and vivid colours. Advanced technology makes replacing of our organs, bones, tissue and even our entire body soon possible.
But…what about our soul?
